Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I sprained my wrist about 6-7 years ago and have suffered from carpal tunnel as well. I have been fine until this past week. I have no strength in my left wrist and can no longer lift weights or even do simple daily tasks. What do you think this could be?
An inability to lift weight and undergo simple daily task indicate acute nerve compression involving flexor retinaculum or sheath. Needs immediate MRI evaluation to prevent further damage to the wrist structures.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
