Suggest Treatment For Whiteheads And Blackheads On The Face

Hello, sir. I am a boy of 18 years. I used to have lots of whiteheads and blackheads on face. Then I started using Tretion 0.05%. I have been using it for 4 months. Almost every blacksheads and whiteheads are removed from my face now. But still very few whiteheads appears every month. And I used to pick my scars so there is a lot of dark spots left on face. What should I do to get rid of the future whiteheads and spots left over on my skin? Help me, please.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, if spots are left may need to be reviewed by a dermatologist to look for any signs of melasmas. Combination of hydroquinone and tretinoin may be needed.

Option of UV therapy may be discussed with the dermatologist too. Using vitamin C and E and Zinc supplementation may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
