Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have white patches on my face. I am slightly tanned and these white patches appeared quite recently - about 2 weeks ago. I need a quick way to help these disappear. I went to my GP who told me that it was eczema and that hydrocortizone cream would only make them appear lighter. I need help.
The white patches seem to be related to vitiligo. I suggest to see a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the treatment may consist in exposure to UVA or UVB light.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
