Suggest Treatment For Weight Loss, Cough And Dark Spots On The Feet

My ex husband has had steady weight loss, loss of voice, coughing, easy bruising, and dark purple dots on the tops of his feet. We do not have a good relationship and if he were very ill, he probably would not tell me. I m concerned for my 12 year old son who is with him half the time. Cancer runs rampant in his family, father died of stomach cancer age 68, mother of melanoma age 71, brother of leukemia, age 49, sister of breast cancer age 48. Two brothers who are living have been diagnosed with prostate cancer before age 50, both treated and living. My ex husband is now 49, heavy drinker, smoker.

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Try getting CT and MRI done for his throat. He might be suffering from laryngeal carcinoma because as you said he has a history of loss of weight and appetite and no voice and strong family history.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
