hello Doc, i am shuvro, age 20 weight 61 kg height 6 ft 1 inch. recently i have done an examination of my stool. they found mucus (+) and vegetable cells 0-8 lpf. not only this i have been suffering from IBS for last 6 years. Still i am feeling cramping,pain in my abdomen. After eating sometimes i have to go to toilet. i am feeling a serious problem.I met with many doctors but they can not give me solutions. As my height i am so thin and i look odd.so what should i do to cope up with this and gaining my weight....
Hello, Welcome to healthcare Magic. There are medical and surgical approach. When complications, than surgical approach needed. Otherwise medical therapy can cure it and so after that weight increases. There is a stepwise approach. First are aminosalisylates like sulfasalazine, than antibiotics like metro or cipro, than steroids are given, than immunomodulators are more important like azathiomprine, In diet, give good fibers, vitamin D and vitamin B12 more.
