Suggest Treatment For Waking Up With Blood In Mouth
I have been waking up in the morning with blood in my mouth. Any idea what it could be from? I recently quit smoking (4 months ago) and have been eating a lot of hard candy. Thought I may have cut my mouth or esophagus. Also I have been having a lot of acid reflux lately.
As per your query the cause and location from where the blood is coming depends upon the color of the blood .If the color of the blood is red then it means it is coming from the oral cavity .Then the possible cause could be gingivitis and vitamin c defficiency. You can start taking vitamin C supplements , brush your teeth twice a day .You should also visit periodontist who can perform scaling to remove the calculus .
If the color of the blood is brownish it means blood is coming from abdomen part ,which could be possibly due to gastric ulcer ,which occurs at esophagus lining .In this case you should visit gastroenterology for proper inspection using gastroscopy and then start treatment accordingly .
Hope your concern had been resolved.
