Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that her symptoms could be related to high blood sugar or to glycomet adverse effects.

For this reason, I would first recommend checking her fasting glucose. If her glucose levels are not too high, I would recommend discussing with her doctor on switching to another drug.

Starting an antiacid or PPI (omeprazole, pantoprazole, etc.) may be helpful too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
