Suggest Treatment For Vomiting, Chills And Diarrhea

Last night I ate after work, work til 2am, and within a short time I felt pain and cramping. Started having diarrhea and still having pain. Kept going to the bathroom multiple times and then felt nautious. Started vomiting, about every 30 minutes or so. It eased up and I went to sleep. Woke up feeling like I needed to use the bathroom again and instead vomited again. Diarrhea. Has stopped. Sometimes I get the chills, but the vomiting is still going on. It comes out about like water with some tiny food particulars in it and smells like feces.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection.

I suggest to drink liquids and use electrolyte solution such as Pedialyte.

I also suggest taking an over the counter option like Imodium for diarrhea.

I suggest to drink liquids and eat a plain diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
