hello doctor i ve vitiligo ,i was prescribed octomop tablets for 3 months along with tacroz cream . do i have to continue the tablets? even after the white patch has disappeared.(i got this because of thyroid now it is under control)will the patch appear again? if so should i continue to have the tablet?
thanks for asking via HCM, No, if the lesion has subsided then no use of taking octamop tab. once again No, because your lesion is not due to hypothyroidism. both are different and both are autoimmune disease so association of both disease is seen. and now YES, you may get the white patch again as it presents with koebnarization( trauma site is prone for disease). use emollient lotion on whole body twice daily. avoid scratching. regards
