Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. He is suffering from PTSD and was found in semi conscious state. He was not speaking, became violent and was not sedated properly. Such symptoms usually dont occur in PTSD but can occur due to some mood disorder. Sudden onset violent episodes followed by unconsciousness can also occur in mania, some drug intoxication or some psychotic episode. Please consult with his doctor to rule out these conditions. His serum electrolytes should be checked. Altered serum electrolytes are commonly present with such symptoms.

Low dose antipsychotics can help to calm down and will reduce his symptoms. Please consult a psychiatrist for proper opinion.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
