Hello,

You should know that varicose veins are not a life-threatening condition and do not affect his life expectancy. If large veins are affected, I would recommend ablation with radiation. Regarding ischemic cardiomyopathy, if a healthy lifestyle is followed and his therapy is optimized he may have good chances to live longer.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
