General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have uterine fibroids. You also have Nabothian cysts in cervix. Get the cervix examined, get PAP smear done. Treatment is only done if it is causing you discomfort. Treatment is by cold (cryotherapy) or electrocautery ablation. If fibroids are causing bleeding and pain it is treated with medicines like gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists, progestin-releasing intrauterine device (IUD) and Tranexamic acid.

Commonly, it responds to treatment but in case the symptoms do not respond to treatment then the treating doctor will recommend removal of fibroids by surgery. In the meantime, take home made nutritious food rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and protein. Avoid addictions if any like alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
