Suggest Treatment For Upper Back Pain

Upper back pain (middle of back to right side) it s been 1 1/2 years. CT scan, bladder scope chest x-ray...but no tests for the middle of my back where it actually hurts. All other tests noted were negative. The pain is getting worse. Don t know where to go. Had gallbladder out years ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You would need testing in the affected area, imaging of that aspect of the spine would be needed.

You should consider seeing an orthopedic specialist for assessment. He or she may be able to assess and diagnose the problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
