Suggest Treatment For Ulcer, High BP, High Blood Sugar And Uric Acid
Hi my husband diagnosed to have a high blood pressure, high uric acid, high blood sugar and ulcer. whats the best food for him. The Doctor gave us a mumps lozartan for high blood pressure, gaviscon for ulcer, metformin for high sugar. I forgot the one for high uric acid. Im having a doubt taking him a metformin because it may cause of destroying his kidney
Based on the history your husband has been prescribed the right medicines to control his high BP, high blood sugar and stomach ulcer.
Losartan is an an angiotensin-II receptor blocker is not only helpful in controlling the high BP but also reduces serum uric acid levels hence his doctor has chosen it. Metformin as such does not cause any harmful effects on the kidneys until other wise if there is an associated kidney disease.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
