Suggest Treatment For Twitching Sensation In Neck

I have twitching in my neck on the left side. It feels like the electrical stimulation that was used on my left shoulder after my shoulder replacement surgery 16 months ago. The odd stimulation feeling can occur any time, but is predominately in the evening hours and continues when I go to bed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms suggest cervical spondylosis pressing on nerve, stinging the affected part. Pressure is being elicited at specific body {neck} position, especially when you sleep (like use of thick pillow / sleeping with off neck position. Please try neck extension exercises. Avoid using pillow while sleeping. Consult an orthopedic surgeon, if no relief for specific management after an X-ray / MRI of the part.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
