Suggest Treatment For Tunnel Vision

My wife has eye sight problem. She can see only straight objects. Like you are seeking in a tunnel. She consulted with a Ophthalmologist and he did scanning of her eyes and filed test and prescribed Gloeye tablets for two months. As we are not able to visit the same doctor again is it ok to continue the same tablets after two months. Or should we consult with an Ophthalmologist again. Please help. Balu

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Very likely the doctor is treating her for Glaucoma. This is a condition where pressure builds up in the eye and may damage the retina and the vision.
It is very important that she is checked again, so I would advise you to have her checked with another ophthalmologist if you can not see the first ophthalmologist.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
