Suggest Treatment For Torn Meniscus

I have had a torn Meniscus since January 2016 per MRI. I work 10 hour days as a laborer worker. I pick up heavy parts and twist and turn. I have had multiple surgeries on the same knee since I was 19 because I have had multiple knee dislocations since the age of 12. It finally broke bone off and I had to have a major surgery at 19 when it dislocated for the 9th time. I have been having really bad pain in my thigh all the way down to my chin non stop for almost 2 weeks.

Hi,

You can conservatively manage it by RICE method:
Rest your knee-Don't ambulate and Use crutches to avoid any weight bearing on the joint. Avoid any activities that worsen your knee pain.
Ice your knee every three to four hours for 30 minutes.
Compress or wrap the knee in an elastic bandage to reduce inflammation.
Elevate your knee to reduce swelling.
You can also take medication such as ibuprofen (Advil) or any other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to reduce pain and swelling around your knee.
You shouldn’t put your full weight on your injured knee if it’s painful. Your doctor may recommend physical therapy to strengthen the muscles surrounding your knee which helps to reduce pain and increase knee mobility and stability. The physical therapist may also use massage techniques to reduce swelling and stiffness.
If the symptoms do not improve, you may need an arthroscopy and corrective surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
