Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic

I understand your suffering and need to tell you that antibiotics are the initial option to subside the infection in tonsillitis for which you must have been given various antibiotics initially, but surgery can be done(tonsillectomy) if your symptoms persist for a long time and you have recurrent attacks of foul breath odor, breathing difficulty, fever, headache, etc. For now you can try the following steps to get relief from the symptoms:

1.Drink warm water and do gargling with warm saline water as many times as possible.

2.Avoid eating oily and cold foodstuffs which may aggravate your symptoms.

3.Try some antibiotics like tab.Augmentin 625 mg for 5 days with an antacid like tab.Pan40.

4.You can have an analgesic like tab.enzoflam to relieve your pain and headache.

5.And still if there is no relief make sure that you completely elaborate history of your symptoms to the ENT specialist and ask for an his expert opinion about surgery.

Hope my answer fulfill your expectation
