Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus While Having Ear Infection

The sounds I hear in my right ear seem robotic. I was diagnosed by my ent with an ear infection and fluid blocked in middle ear. I m assuming my eustachian tube is blocked. I m on antibiotics until my follow up appt. next week. Why would I be hearing robotic sounds? These sounds just started today

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of tinnitus while having ear infection. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to simple ear wax, ear fluid accumulation to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and get it examined. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , he/she may prescribe medicine like eprisone and antibiotics. Avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object and maintain hygiene of ear canal. Put Otogesic ear drops.
