Hello,
Welcome and thank you for using HCM! I can understand your concern and i am trying to give you some more information.
As you mentioned your mom has typical signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism, anyway it should be confirmed by examination of the hormonal level. If hypothyroidism is confirmed, the hormonal replacement therapy is recommended in order to improve the symptoms and the general situation. First, a coronary heart disease should be excluded.
If it is impossible to give her the medications daily, she may take the weekly dose in two days of the week. You may discuss this variant with her treating doctor. If left untreated the hypothyroidism may progress in coma so it must not be undervalued.
Hope the suggestion will be helpful.

Kind regards,
Dr.M.guni
