Suggest Treatment For The Swollen Oesophagus

I have acid reflux and a swollen oesophagus and small hiatus hernia. Had a colonscopy some weeks ago when this diagnosed since then I have swelling in throat and feeling of food stuck (didn t have this before colonscopy). Am 43 female. on proton pump inhibitors. why do I now have this feeling of food stuck - my throat swells as do my glands - most unpleasant

Thanks for your question onHCM.
In my opinion you should investigate yourself for esophageal motility disorders as hiatus hernia can be associated with this.
So better to get done
1. Upper GI scopy
2. Esophageal motility study.
By your symptoms , I think you are having early achalasia cardia. In this esophagus does not contract properly, so food will not go further and stuck in esophagus.
So we need to rule out this first.
So consult gastroenterologist first and discuss all this.
