Suggest Treatment For The Occult Blood In Urine

i am a female of 59 years. i had urethral stricture and procedures were done to rectify the same. then i had a stent put in my heart in 2007 Nov. i was on medication including ecosprin 150. i started bleeding through my urine. lots of bleeding. so i was admitted and a procedure was done on my bladder in 2008. now a few days back i did my annual medical. in that there is occult blood 2+ in my urine. my dad had bladded cancer and the whole bladder, etc. were removed. now they used a plactic bag and passed urine. i would like to know why i have this occult blood and what i should do for the same please. thanks and regards pervin

Persistent occult blood in the urine should be investigated with ultrasound of urinary tract and cystoscopy especially if there is family history of bladder cancer. Hence please contact your doctor /urologist. Sometimes despite all the tests being negative, there can be persistence of occult blood in urine. Other possible reasons are recurrence of urethral stricture, hypertension, diabetes etc.
