Suggest Treatment For Testicular Swelling

I took a serious hit below the belt about 10 months ago in a basketball game. It was really bad my testicles swelled up to the size of a baseball and then after the swelling went down, now my right testicle is much larger than before and my left is much smaller than before. I want to know what could have caused my testicles to be deformed after the hit and is there a way they can go back to normal. Keep in mind my testicles were deformed after the hit for 10 months and I don t see them going back to normal at all.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to get it reviewed by a urologist or a surgeon again as it can be testicular hernia which may be triggered after trauma as you mentioned and may need surgical intervention.

Ultrasound of testicle may also be needed. Avoided lifting heavy weights or strenous activities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
