Suggest Treatment For Tense And Painful Neck After A Jolly Ride

So, one day I was at the carnival enjoying myself with my family, we went on several rides until finally we all got bored. We decided to ride one last ride, we rode on the fireball. Once the ride stopped the right side of my neck was extremely tense, and very painful. I could not keep my head up straight for one to two hours without it hurting extremely bad. After the right side of my neck was still very tense but it got better. I can now keep my head up straight with little to no pain. Looking to the right and leaning my neck to the right still hurts. Please help me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Use ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. You can also use muscle relaxers such as Musxoflex. Try to keep it warm using warm compresses.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
