Hi.
First of all it is rare for a child of 9 years to get gall bladder stones. This can not cause the pain in the left side of the abdomen. The commonest cause of tenderness in left hypochondriac region and iliac fossa is colitis and can not be detected on ultrasonography.
A proper course of an antibiotic and metronidazole will cure him. If there is no relief in 7 days , he may need colonoscopy.
