My brother in law lives in Pennsylvania and I think he has schizoid affective disorder.....lost job, home, is now divorced , just lost car and I fear his apartment is next . By the way he has a university degree, speaks three languages, used to have a beautiful home and four cars. he has delusions of being a healer, and has some problems occasionally with depression. Other times his brain just doesn t stop thinking. How do you suggest to someone that they need help when they have no money for help and do not believe they need help. He has become extremely isolated. has no friends. I live in Canada where help might be covered. Is they someplace in Pennsylvania he could go to get help? I know he has been frequenting the ER lately for health issues. Would they get help for him if they realized he had a mental illness. He no longer bath or cuts his hair, which he believes gives him strength. Is he destined to die homeless on the street?
