Suggest Treatment For Swollen, Stiff Feet And Ankles

Painful stiff feet and very swollen moving up thru ankles to calves. When I press my calve with my thumb for a few seconds the indentation stays there for a long time. Minutes maybe. Feels like I m squeezing a leg full of clay. Upon standing after sitting or esp after sleep, can feel (painfully) blood or fluid filling up the lower extremities . Felt from mid calves down. Have had and may have again plantar facilities in the past. Now am noticing Dark brused looking area on ankle - both sides. Pain ful. Very swollen. Getting progressively worse after 2 or 3 months.Help.

you must get examined by a doctor ,by your description it is pitting oedema ,cause may be non-orthopedic more so since it is bilateral on both legs. There are certain medical conditions also which give rise to gen oedema in leg and ankle.your physician shall evaluate for kidney, liver diseases or for local reasons in legs.keep legs and feet in elevated position while sitting or lying down.stiffness in anles could be due to pressure of soft tissue swelling itself around the muscle compartment of legs
