Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have you swollen tonsils which are actually lymph nodes in neck which are draining tonsils. Due to this you could have fever, difficulty in swallowing, irritability. The phlegm you mention in query is because of sore throat ,but there can be other reasons also like acid reflux or sinusitis .

I would suggest you to take stream and warm saline gargles several times a day specially before going to bed ,these two will give you lot of relief and take paracetamol for pain and inflammation .

Also consult ENT specialist(ear, nose, throat) for proper examination and to rule out other conditions . Doctor may order blood test , X-ray or CT scan to find out the exact cause. He/she may prescribe antibiotic course for around week , mucolytic drug (ambroxol) or antihisamine drug.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Please write a review about your experience with me and do click at' i find this answer helpful' if its valuable for you.
