Suggest Treatment For Swollen Neck Glands And Cough

I have had runny nose and swollen neck glands for months. Then I added a cough that kept me awake at night. Last night started feeling a tightness at the base of mythroat and very bad sore throat. Today started pain at the base of the sternum and trouble breathing while talking. What s going on?

Neck lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to local infection. These nodal swellings usually take time to resolve completely even after clearance of infection.
Advice
1.     Cefixime 100 mg every 12 hours per oral for 7 days
2.     Levocetirizine 5 mg daily orally for 7 days
3.     Ambroxol 30 mg daily per oral for 7 days
4.     Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily
5.     Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment and spicy food
6.     Investigations
c.     Complete blood count
d.     Chest X – ray PA view
If you condition deteriorates further then go to a nearby hospital for further management.
