Hello, I have had a sore thoat and a sore mouth for about 2 weeks now, my lymph moads are also swollen. I can see my wisdom tooth trying to come threw at the back. The tooth is causing any pain but the gum and the jaw line around it is really sore. It is making me feel really low and today it feels like my lip has swollen.

hello and welcome to healthcare magic forum,
thank you for posting your query here,

After reading your query , I feel some of the signs and symptoms that you are mentioning relate to wisdom tooth(molar) impaction,
Although, I do need some more information from your end in order to confirm the diagnosis;
Do you have pain on biting?
Which side is the pain on(whether it is referring to your ear)?
Is there any swelling on the gum surrounding the wisdom tooth?
Do you have any dental x-rays taken for that particular tooth?

While the wisdom tooth is trying to make its space in your jaw, it pushes the gum covering it, making it red, swollen and painful on touching.
sometimes accompanied with symptoms like fever, swollen lymph nodes, malaise and swelling from accidental biting on the gum tissue covering the erupting tooth.

We call this condition Pericoronitis, and treatment can only be decided by the dentist once they do clinical and radiographic examination for you.
But for now, you can do warm saline rinses 5-6 times/day, take tylenol for fever and see the dentist at your earliest.
Kindly take care of your health, keep yourselves hydrated and apply hot/cold compresses to the painful site in order to get pain relief.

I hope I was able to provide you with an answer for your question,
do not hesitate to write back.

i wish you good health,
take care

warm regards,
Dr. Anshika Taneja
