The inside of my lips, top and bottom, have been swollen for about 4-6 weeks. This came on suddenly and has not subsided. They are very dry and cracked at the corners. I am also starting to lose small amounts of gum tissue. Inside of my mouth feels very irritated especially when I use mouthwash. I haven't used anything except Vasoline or Chapstick to ease the dryness. I take Loratadine daily for vertigo and wear no makeup. I haven't changed medications or anything else that could possibly cause an allergic reaction. I'm a 59 year old female with no health issues. Are there any topical medications that might help?
