Suggest Treatment For Swollen Leg And Red/purple Wound Caused By Artery Replacement

I had an artery replacement in my leg that has had an open wound for a year, I've been dressing the wound and it appears to be getting smaller. Then 4 days ago, the area around the wound turned dark red and purple. My whole leg is swollen and I have been unable to perform a bowel movement in those four days. What should I do?
