Suggest Treatment For Swollen Glands In Neck

I have had swollen lymph nodes on my neck for a while. I have recently noticed my throat being sore and my tonsils have swollen. Then there r white lines and spots on my tonsils. I dont really have a fever, just fatigued and am worried. Had a strep test a few days ago and it came back neg. What is going on? Should I be worried its cancer?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain it seems that you have infection in throat which can be Bacterial or Viral in nature..
The swollen lymph nodes are also secondary to infection and you need not to worry about it as when the infection will reduce the lymph nodes will also regress..
As of now you can take Antibiotics like Augmentin or Azithromycin, take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles..
Suck throat lozenges and take a soft diet..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Drink plenty of warm fluids..
Do warm compresses over lymph nodes..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
