Suggest Treatment For Swollen Glands And Throat Pain

I have ashtma, couple days couple I started to get swollen glands and throat than it started to develop into chest pain, now the swollen has became worse today to a point where I can t sallow correctly without it hurting , the past couple nights as I slept I woke up gasping for air, I breathe every shallow at times like its hard for me to breathe than last night I started to get really weird pressure headaches on one side of my side that causes my vision to blur and makes my eyes sensitive to the nights. I don t know if this is something serious to go to the hospital or not. Never experienced anything like this.

Hello
Thank you for writing to us on Health care Magic.

Based on your history the response to your question is as follows.
1. You appear to have enlarged tonsils.
2. The enlarged tonsils along with pharyngitis, is causing difficulty for swallowing. Also increased secretions in night, could be causing, mild blockage, resulting in gasping during nights.
3. This low oxygenation along with pressure symptoms is causing headaches and blurring of vision.
4. You need to meet your doctor for treatment of infection. Culture of oral swab from pharynx will be necessary to identify appropriate antibiotics. For pain, paracetamol can be taken. Meet your doctor at the earliest for antibiotics prescription and further investigations.
Hope this is helpful to you.
