Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ear Due To Hitting On Bath Tub

4 year daughter smacked her ear on the bathtub Friday, noticed it swollen Saturday, watched it Sunday and today (Monday) and no change. The edge of the shell of the ear, the swell is hiding the line of the ear... not sure what to do, I don t want to rush to the clinic for this especially since she is not in pain but the swelling is not going down.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The swelling is quite normal due to the trauma. For this reason, if she is hearing well and there is no change in the skin color (bluish color), there is no reason to go to the ER. I recommend using locally ice packs and and see if it improves the situation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
