Suggest Treatment For Swollen Dimple Under The Arm
Hi,
I have a swollen dimple under my left arm. Had it before exactly the same but went away after a while. it is like 2 inches in length and 1/2 inch in width, has two red dots on one end with a bit more bulging.
Some are telling me it is only an infection, others say it might be cancer. Yes a bit painful/annoying, starting now to get smaller, 5% each day.
Pls help!

Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The lump you mention under your arm cam occur due to many reasons like swollen lymph node . lipoma ,allergic reaction or non cancerous fibroedenoma. In case of women painful lump under arms can be alarming , because it can be sign of breast cancer , but the chances are rare .
I would suggest you to consult doctor for proper examination and to find out the exact cause. Doctor may order blood test for infection , examin by palpation te determine consistency of lump, X-ray or biopsy .
Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for swollen lymph node or infection , anti viral in case of viral infection or may recommend chemo therapy , radiation therapy or surgery in case of any growth .
For now give warm compresses to affected area several times a day take ibuprofen (if not allergic ) or acetaminophen for pain and swelling and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl .
