Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Throat

Hi my son has been sick for four days now with flu like symptoms. He has a sore and swollen throat and tonsils last week and today we just discovered a rash over his torso and arms and beginning on his legs. It s mildly itchy but not too bad. Could it be measles?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The swollen and painful throat can be because of the bacterial infection in the tonsil resulting in tonsillar abscess. The rashes over the body can secondary to allergy or erythema multiforme. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral and general physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like azithromycin(if you are not allergic) for the infection and you can take cetriziine for the rashes.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
