Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Lump On The Forehead

My mother woke up in the morning and saw swelling/lump on right half of her fore head. There is no pain, no redness and no itching. Her eyes are also swollen a bit. Last night it was fine and she had no injury. What can be the probable reason for this swelling?? Do i need to visit hospital?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen and painful lump on the forehead . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like dermoid cyst , sebaceous cyst , neurofibromatosis , von Recklinghausen disease and acne . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial , anti viral , steroid drug and anti inflammatory . For now do not touch or pick , apply warm compresses and take benadryl twice a day .
