Suggest Treatment For Swollen Abdomen With Fluid Build Up

I had surgery for bloated stomach and full of liquid. It was drained and tissue sample taken to the lab. I was told it was TB but now after 4 months of taking medications they have culture finally growing and now Dr. says it s not TB but something else not sure what it is yet. I had spots all over my organs and belly pics taken during surgery. my lungs were clean all my problems are in my stomach. What can this be?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
If culture is negative then possibility of tuberculosis is less likely.
Similar kind of abdominal symptoms and problems can be seen with fungal infection, malignancy etc.
So better to get done PET scan and fungal tissue culture.
PET scan is needed for the diagnosis of malignancy.
Fungal culture is to rule out fungal infection.
So consult your doctor and discuss all these.
First diagnose and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
