Suggest Treatment For Sub Clinical Hyperthyroidism
Have been suffering from palpitations, dizziness..did all test related to heart like echo, TMT, ECG,24 hrs. holter test, LFT, CBC,creatinine,sodium, potassium all reports came normal except the thyroid function test under which TSH is lower to 0.117. The pathology defined it as sub clinical hyperthyroidism.So, I am taking Antythyrox 5mg 2 times a day Since a week with atenol tab.75 mg one time a day since last 15 days but still i am feeling dizzy with little trimming hand and body i am also feeling a little palpitations (not so much fast but slightly faster than usual). I sometimes do feel a severe pain in chest for a min...Pls ..help...

I read carefully your concerns.
Subclinical hyperthyroidism in some cases may be symptomatic and should be treated. If you were a patient in my clinic i would recommend the same treatment.
In most of the cases the improvement is seen after two weeks of treatment and the complete recover after 1 month to 6 weeks.
If there is no improvement after 1 month it means that the dose is not correct or there is another cause for your symptoms.
So I would recommend to wait other 4 weeks and than check the hormonal level. If the symptoms persist even though the hormones are within the normal ranges it means the thyroid is not the cause.
Meanwhile stop drinking coffee and energy drinks.
