Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I can understand your problem, but don't be depressed with situations. She is on Regrace Pluse (Risperidone and THP) for her symptoms. The medicines make her sleepy. She have symptoms like abusive behaviour, suspiciousness like neighbours will do something to her, abusive to your father and to neighbours. All such symptoms and her drugs point toward some psychotic disorder most likely schizophrenia. Most common reason of poor response to treatment in patients of psychosis is poor compliance to treatment and expressed emotions of family. If she is not getting ready to take medicines then you can choose from a variety of long acting injectable preparations like fluphenazine, haloperidon deconate, risperidone consta etc. These medicines provide control over 15 days to 1 month. You can consult her psychiatrist regarding these medicines. Most patients show improvement in symptoms. If some patients fails to show improvement then next option is Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT).
Thanks, hope this helps you. Visit her psychiatrist.
