Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Am seriously stress and am constanly haunted by traumatic events that have happened to me in the past. I currently have no real friends and i have a disfuntional family. I live in fear of being hurt and ive spent most of the last few years hiding in my bedroom. am constantly anxious all the time and very dispondant to people face to face. I dont feel comfortable telling my gp about this. I also have transgender issues which no else no knows about. Am 22 and unemployed. can you help me?
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Anxiety is fear of something which may or may not be true or may or may not happen in the future. You are jobless and that contributes to your obsessive thinking. Find a job immediately and don't look for what salary you get. Just get a job.
These are called obsessive thoughts. Brain (mind) is made for its own functions and its duty is to think. Therefore you cannot stop it from thinking. But you definitely can control the way it thinks by diverting its attention to more demanding things. Creative thinking should help brain diverting. If you try to forcefully overcome obsessive thoughts, it will come back every now and then and disturb you more vehemently.
Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
