Suggest Treatment For Stress And Depression

Your Question

I have been extremly emotional lately. I get it really bad sometimes. Some days I feel like nothing in the world can make me happy, others I feel normal. I'm 18 years old and this has been happening since I'm 16. It's really hard on me. Any idea of what this might be or how to control it?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have symptoms like lack of happiness in anything or anhedonia, emotional behaviour since teenage years could occur normally as adolescent age behaviour. These symptoms alone cant be used to make proper diagnosis of depression and need further evaluation.

If these symptoms cause impairment in your day to day functioning or difficulty in studying then consult a psychiatrist for evaluation. Try to exercise daily and keep yourself relaxed. Don't remain alone for long periods of time. Don't take any psychoactive substance and try to entertain yourself by watching good movie, in playing etc. This will result in reduction of symptoms.

Thanks, hope this helps you
