I had strep throat in early July with all the usual symptoms: Sore throat, fever, etc. I was prescribed anti-biodics (amoxicillin) and it went away. Then end of August I was diagnosed with it again after I had a sore throat. I was given a shot on penicillin and my sore throat was gone again. About a week later, I noticed my tonsils were swollen and my lymph nodes felt swollen as well. I let it go because I had 2 weddings coming up that I was in. About 3 weeks later I went to the doctor to get it checked out and they stated I had strep again, even though I had no symptoms (Fever, sore throat, etc.) I then saw and ear, nose, and throat doctor and he didn t think it was a big deal-said I could even be a carrier of strep? I was put on anti-biodics again, but my tonsils haven t looked the same since all this started. They are swollen and veiny, I was wondering what my next action should be?
