Suggest Treatment For Stool Dumping

Hi, I have been on prescription medication for the past 10yrs. Last year I had surgey, & came off the medication. I now spend most of my time on the toilet, I saw a gastrointerologist in Perth, He said I have "Stool Dumping", I go atleast 20-30 times per day, due to taking the medication for tooooo long. Now I'm at my wits end.....so over it all, back to Perth to see the specialist.....all poo tests have come back normal.... any suggestions how to get on top of this?

Hi,

The Dumping Syndrome you have been diagnosed is a fastidious condition. Fortunately, the cause of it was only the medications you have taken for too long.

So, until your body will get cleaned from all the medications you had, you'd have the symptoms finally cleared.

Diet changes are necessary to help you deal with frequent bowel movements.

If your doctor has prescribed some medications, please take them regularly as prescribed.

You need to have patience until improvement. Get regular follow ups with your GI specialist.
