Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain And Diarrhea

On seasonale, ate some bread with dinner, took pill, continued eating- after dinner, almost immediately had stomach pains, maybe 20 or 30 minutes later, passed a regular stool and then three very soft diarrhea looking bits. Will this have an effect on effectiveness?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

This features seem to be food poisoning which might need some medical attention but there is nothing serious here.

Abdominal pain and diarrhoea could be here due to acute gastroenteritis or viral gastroenteritis etc.

You should undergo routine blood count, electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen to rule out infection.

You will require short course of antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins or antiprotozoals etc.) with antiemetic, antispasmodics and antiinflammatories with prebiotics and probiotics.

There will be some need of fluid and electrolyte balance in body for which you can take oral rehydration formula.

You must consult physician for complete treatment.

Regards,
