Suggest Treatment For Stomach Infection And Nausea

Veronica s sore stomach continues. She states she has not had a bowel movement for 3 days. She complains of severe 8/10 pain to her right upper abdomen when you palpate it. Her nausea continues and she is now vomiting periodically. What is happening? What are your actions? Would you report this to a physician? Why or why not?

Hi
welcome to HCM
Looking at history this could be due to long standing constipation
Stools gets hardened in colon due to absorption of water and may get impacted which hampers the intestinal motility and further worsening.

Please visit physician for examination and a colonoscopy

you can give her laxative or stool softening agents which your doctor knows

ask her to have plenty of fluids and dietary fibre

Hope this helps her feel free to ask for further assistance i gladly answer your question

wishing you good health
