Suggest Treatment For Stomach Cramps With Constipation

Went on a trip to Africa when I got back I had stomach cramps and several bowel movements with blood. Well like the 7th day my cramping really was nonexistent and no more going to the bathroom so often. Well like day 8 it was almost like constipation and when I looked at my bowel movement it looked fleshy, what could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

If there is stomach cramps with severe bowel movements then there might be chances of electrolyte imbalance in the body with gastric upset.

As you were also having bowel movements with blood as stated by you.

You should be monitored for vitals signs like pulse, blood pressure etc despite your frequent bowel motions were subsided.

You can take plenty of water with lemon juice (added salt),coconut water or WHO oral re-hydration solution.

For constipation, you should take liquid cremaffin 3 TSF at a bed time for semi solid and effortless bowel evacuation.

Thanks and Regards,
