General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of thin sticky liquid coming out of anus and causes itchy feeling, do not have hemorrhoid or pin worm infestation. Going on for months - Doctor examined and said nothing is wrong - thought of stress - did not resolve.
As per the history you are having sticky liquid without any smell coming from anus and thus is suggestive of mucus discharge from some disease in the anal canal or colon. Once this comes out it smears the peri-anal area and cause irritation to cause itching.
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Get clinical evaluation, examination and ano-proctoscopy done by a General Surgeon to get probable cause.
Colonoscopy may be needed.
A course of an antibiotic and metronidazole can help a lot and further management as per the reports to be carried on.
Once the mucus leakage stops you may get better.
Also needed is local cleanliness with plain water, keeping the area dry and aerated.
Take multivitamins to give strength and early healing of the peri-anal area.
