Suggest Treatment For Stage 4 Hepatitis C

hi my neighbour has hep c and has just been told she is stage four her liver is not looking good she was not told a lot when she was told she had hep c what can she do to improve the health of her liver; she has to wait 6 weeks until she can under go the new treatment that is available, she also has diabetes.

it looks like she is suffering from liver cirrhosis what are the symptoms she is suffering from?
the main goal of treatment is to control the progression of the cirrhosis. is she an alcoholic if so she needs to stop drinking
